Boxing Day run 2011

At 10am on Boxing day, 8 slightly hungover Coasters set off from Carol and Andy Yarrows house for a 6.5 (ish) mile run which had a re-occurring theme of mud throughout.

The route took us on one of Carol and Andy's favourite local runs but despite being one of their better known runs they both managed to fall over in spectacular style, Andy blaming a sneaky tree root as the cause and Carols was from lack of concentration whilst laughing at Andy's mishap!

The run which took in Fox hill, the Coombes, Barkham church and some of the lesser known parks of Wokingham (GPS Route here) culminated with Hot from the oven mince pies and lashings of mulled wine, not the most known about of post run fuelling strategies but still a good one.

It was thoroughly agreed that the run was an absolute success and a great way of getting to know other peoples favourite runs and was especially welcome after the excesses of Christmas Day. Hopefully this is a tradition that continues.
